Best Match: Netherlands v. Germany

It is almost too easy to predict a match in the "Group of Death" to be the best of the week, but you have two of the best squads in the world locking horns in what could turn out to be a de facto elimination game for Netherlands. 

The Netherlands were upset on Saturday by a Denmark squad. Those kinds of losses can take a squad in one of two ways. They can either use it as a galvanizing force to propel them to victory, at least in the group stage, or it can increase the pressure they feel and crumble under the weight of it all. 

The Germans had problems of their own against an underrated Portugal squad, but they were able to eke out a 1-0 victory thanks to a Mario Gomez header. A win against the Netherlands would put them in the driver's seat in the toughest group.
