More Cheap Shots from the Shadows!
Wow. Another season starts and the informers come out SWINGING from the shadows. Grandpa Joe slinging daggers passive aggressively through a book he officially did not "write." It seems the weak-jealous at heart are all about attempting to throw nails under the Yankees tour bus.
Joe looked like a moron with Bob Costas the other night. He stammered and had no real answer to the question of whether his Dodger team will be able to talk to him about anything, and whether they can trust him.
I wouldn't.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
How can you trust a guy or go to him with some trouble if you think he is just going to put it in a book someday?
Awful, Joe. Awful.
This whole affair made me believe the Yankees made the right choice casting Old Joe adrift. After all, he never really handled "The Big Stars" very well.
His book is his admission.
The NY press used that line to shine a light on Torre over and over for 12 years. In fact, he was rather horrible at it.
More about the New York press in a minute.
He alienated a lot of players, it turns out, and had a little insider club. Sad ordeal. But enough of CHEAP SHOT JOE.
Let's talk about who broke the law and threw A-Rod under the steroid bus. OK. I'm not defending A-Rod here. There are times when I question the man, his I.Q., his cheesy hair highlights, his mental grit. The man has talent, though. I think they baby him a bit.
My main question is: Why don't they release the entire 104-player list? Have the Judge unseal it. If they are going to throw A-Rod under the bus, then just throw the whole thing out there and get Big Papi and Manny and all the big muscled dudes of baseball answering questions.
It would be their punishment for being idiots.
I'm not saying A-Rod is not an idiot...he may be.
The last time someone threw out something that was sealed by a judge in all this they got two and a half years in prison for it. So, they should nail someone to the wall or release the whole list, or destroy it to keep people from using it to tarnish people at will.
What I mean is that I am sick of it. So what if he did steroids. The real question that would most likely be the shorter answer is WHO DIDN'T?
Enough already.
The baseball world had a steroid era. They test now. We should all stop reacting like Pilgrims on a witch hunt. I am not Miles Standish. Seroids happened. They test now. Whatever.
If A-Rod never performs well in NY postseason, it will be the sole fault of the New York Press who run around like Page Six creeps looking through back windows...pointing fingers and asking questions that are none of thier business.
I dont care if A-Rod has sex with Madonna or if Babe Ruth was hanging out with whores while drunk during prohibition, in speakeasy underground hideouts.
He was, you know.
No one cares.
Of course, no one wrote about that because they had scruples back then and did not want to rat out the guy who could win the World Series for your own city, instead of hounding the poor man who is famous for hitting a ball, not for being a rocket scientist.
I feel bad for A-Rod, because New York City sports writers dont care about him...they just want a buyline. He is just a good ball player. Let him play.
I think the real trouble here in New York is sports writers who want to be gossip columnists. They talk like a gaggle of '50s housewives at a coffee clutch. They just jump on a bandwagon together out of fear of being out of step and all write the same dung over and over.
How about a review of the teams and stat comparisons? How about something that has to do with baseball? How about writing about sports?! No Madonna, no steriods, no more Old Joe Torre, let the guys play the game for crying out loud.
