Pacquiao vs. Bradley Press Conference: Highlights from Post-Fight Interviews

Following one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history, Timothy Bradley, Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum and Freddie Roach took to the podium in Las Vegas to give their thoughts on the welterweight bout.

There were few surprises from Pacquiao and his trainer, Roach, both of whom rightfully thought they were robbed by the judges.

Despite the fact that Pacquiao landed more punches (253-159), more power punches (190-109) and a higher percentage of his power punches (38.5-27.7), the ringside judges scored the fight 115-113, 113-115, 115-113 in favor of Bradley.

It was a highly questionable decision, and although Pacquiao didn't blast the judges, he did say he thought he won the fight handily. Roach agreed, saying it was one of the best performances he's seen from his long-time pupil.

The surprises of the press conference were delivered by Bradley, the new welterweight champion, and promoter Bob Arum.

Bradley said all the right things, but his entrance was a little unexpected. He rolled up in a wheel chair, where he sat throughout the interview. Dan Rafael of ESPN reported he had a twisted right ankle and a fracture in his left foot.

Bradley said he wants a rematch with Pacquiao in November, and Arum agreed. Of course, this makes sense, since Arum is the promoter for both fighters and stands to make quite a lot of money off the rematch.

Arum also went out of his way to harshly criticize the judges.

While I agree with his notion that the judges screwed up, I can't help but think he exaggerated his criticisms to dispel the conspiracy theories that suggest he fixed this fight.

Regardless, it was a fascinating post-fight press conference, and we can expect more entertainment and controversy from these four in the coming months.
