- In an offseason largely filled with disappointment for Brewers fans, one of the most discouraging things has to be the fact that the team will likely not receive nearly as much draft pick compensation for losing free agents as they thought they would. McCalvy details some of that disappointment.

- The Brewers aren’t talking about the Sheets injury situation.

Rumors and Speculation

- The Brewers were reportedly interested in trading for catcher Ramon Castro, but new bench coach and former Mets manager Willie Randolph apparently advised the team not to pursue it.

- Chad Cordero is still available and the Brewers were reportedly interested in him at one time.

- This blogger thinks Jack Z and the Mariners should trade for former Mariner Mike Cameron. He suggests the Brewers receive Jarrod Washburn, Wladamir Balentien and Brett Lorin in exchange for Cameron. Since Washburn is owed almost as much as Cameron this year, the trade would not provide the Brewers salary relief to go out and sign someone to replace Cameron. Balentien does not appear to be a starting-caliber outfielder. And Lorin pitched in A ball last year so he’s no where near MLB-ready. I don’t see how this trade helps the Brewers. I can’t see it happening.

- Renovations will start soon on Nashville’s Greer Stadium, the home of the Sounds.

Other News

- Former Brewer Kevin Seitzer is happy to have landed a job as the hitting coach for the Kansas City Royals.

- Former Brewer bullpen catcher Ronnie Nedset is now the manager of the Green Bay Bullfrogs. More HERE.
