It looks like Alex is not in the country.ย So Alex was confronted by Selena Roberts about these steroid allegations in Miami and then leaves the country? Scott Boras said that Alex will issue a statement soon.

"

Major League Baseball and the players union issued statements Saturday, refusing to confirm or deny the report on Rodriguez, citing player confidentiality.

Scott Boras, Rodriguezโ€™s agent, said Saturday that Rodriguez was out of the country but would issue a response โ€œas we go forward.โ€ SI.com reported that, when it asked for comment, Rodriguez said: โ€œYouโ€™ll have to talk to the union.โ€

and along with thatโ€ฆBrian Bruney backs A-Rod:

"

While the teamโ€™s front office had nothing to say about Sports Illustratedโ€™s report that A-Rod failed a drug test in 2003, Yankees reliever Brian Bruney threw all of his support behind his teammate.

โ€œWeโ€™re all very supportive of all our teammates,โ€ Bruney said. โ€œAlex has no reason to do anything like that. Iโ€™ve seen firsthand, as Iโ€™m sure everyone has, how hard Alex works. I donโ€™t believe it. Thatโ€™s where I stand. I honestly donโ€™t believe it.โ€

Bruney said the SI report, which cited four anonymous sources, had โ€œno backbone,โ€ and until he heard who was making the claims, he chooses not to believe the story.

โ€œItโ€™s unfortunate that something like this comes out with no backbone on it,โ€ Bruney said. โ€œAlex, honestly, is the hardest worker Iโ€™ve ever seen in any sport.

"Itโ€™s pretty impressive to see how he works and takes care of himself, what he eats. Heโ€™s kind of like a robot. He already is the best player to ever play this game, in my opinion, and he would have no reason to do anything like that.โ€
