Belmont Stakes 2012 Post Time: Everything You Need to Know for Today's Race

Austin GreenJun 9, 2012

Clear your schedule, place your bets and prep your living room accordingly, because the 2012 Belmont Stakes is right around the corner.

The historic third jewel of the Triple Crown will start today at 6:40 p.m. ET. The action is currently being televised live on NBC, where you can watch the race, as well as analysis before and after.

This year's race has lost some of its buzz with the absence of I'll Have Another, who was looking to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. Unfortunately, he developed a tendon injury and was scratched from the race on Friday.
