Belmont Stakes 2012 TV Coverage: Viewing Guide for Third Leg of Triple Crown
The 2012 Belmont Stakes won't have nearly as much allure after the retirement of Triple Crown hopeful I'll Have Another, which will certainly be to the displeasure of NBC, the network airing the race.
Nevertheless, the race is the longest and most arduous leg of the Triple Crown and the race alone should be dramatic down the stretch.
Dullahan is now the favorite with 9-5 odds, and other trendy picks include Paynter and Union Rags.
Due to the immense anticipation that would have undoubtedly surrounded the race had I'll Have Another been a participant, NBC and its new sports network decided to extend their coverage of the Belmont. Although Doug O'Neill's chestnut colt is now out of the race, there has not been a change in coverage plans.
Here's all you'll need to catch every second of Belmont coverage and analysis, both before the race and after it's completed:
TV Schedule
June 9, 3 p.m. ET: Belmont Stakes Saturday, NBCSN
June 9, 4:30 p.m.: From Belmont Park (Live), NBC
June 9, 6:30 p.m.: Post time, NBC
June 9, 7 p.m.: Post-show analysis, NBCSN
