Pacquiao vs. Bradley Odds: Last-Minute Betting Lines
Manny Pacquiao will take on Timothy Bradley for the WBO welterweight title, but the betting lines do not look too appealing.
According to Bovada, betting on Bradley with $100 would earn $325. While this would be a nice pull, this does not seem too likely.
Bradley comes into the bout with an impressive undefeated record and the WBO light welterweight title. However, he also had his WBC title stripped due to inactivity after he refused to fight Amir Khan.
The Desert Storm has not beaten too many top fighters and has not dominated the weaker competition. He should have more than 12 knockouts to go with 28 wins.
A victory for Pacquiao will not be easy, but he is certainly the better fighter and should be able to win this bout.
Unfortunately, a bet of $450 on Pacquiao would only win $100. Even if the Pac-Man were considered a sure thing, the return on investment hardly seems worth the chance.
Instead, gamblers should look toward some other bets that would provide better odds.
Based on recent performances, neither competitor is likely to finish this fight via knockout. Therefore, choosing the bout to last over 9.5 rounds would be a good pick, but it only provides $100 on a $260 bet.
The best overall bet to make money is the most specific, choosing Pacquiao to win by decision or technical decision. With Pacquiao's popularity within the boxing world, the Filipino is likely to win any judges' decision if the fight is anywhere close to even.
It might be riskier than simply choosing a win, but the payoff will be worth it in the end.
