Belmont Stakes 2012 Live Stream: Online Viewing Info and More
In case you hadn't heard, the 2012 Belmont Stakes lost some luster with the late scratch of I'll Have Another. The prohibitive favorite for the final leg of the Triple Crown was forced to retire from competition due to tendonitis in his leg.
Even without I'll Have Another, the Belmont is still going to feature 11 of the best thoroughbred horses in the world. With so much action taking place at Belmont Park, you need to know where to find it all.
We will have a full look at where you can stream the event, as well as a look at the field and a few things to watch when the Belmont Stakes gets underway.
Where: Belmont Park in Belmont, N.Y.
When: Saturday, June 9; Race starts at 6:40 p.m. EST

Horses to Watch
Dullahan
With I'll Have Another out, Dullahan became the odds-on favorite. He put together an impressive run at the Kentucky Derby last month, finishing third behind I'll Have Another and Bodemeister.
Given the long layoff that he has had since the Derby, Dullahan should have no problem holding his stamina throughout the long, grueling Belmont track. It is a test that few thoroughbreds can manage, but he has all the necessary ingredients to have a great run.
Paynter
One of the least-talked about horses coming into the Belmont, Paynter is going to be right in the mix for the top spot when all is said and done. His race history is strong, with four top-four finishes and two victories.
If you are looking for that little extra something to put Paynter over the top, look no further than Bob Baffert. The world-class trainer has been working with the three-year-old thoroughbred to get him ready for this moment.
Final Prediction
Even though Dullahan enters the race as the favorite, I see him fading down the stretch. Taking his spot at the top will be Paynter and Optimizer, with the former edging out the latter to walk away with the final leg of the Triple Crown.
