WWE 13: Collapsing Ring and Other New Features in Forthcoming Title
Somebody call my momma, is that a collapsing ring?
Yes it is, and there are a few other goodies in store for fans of WWE gaming. WWE '13 is shaping up to be even more robust than WWE '12. It releases for Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 30, and I'm not ashamed to say I'm excited.
If you've played last year's version (who am I kidding, would you really be reading this if you haven't?), then you know there were tons of options.

What you see in the featured photo is an example of what THQ is calling an OMG moment. For those that are social-media illiterates, that means "Oh my God."
Cory Ledesma, the Creative Director for WWE games at THQ, offered to shed some light on this new feature:
"#YES. Moves on the announcer table are back! #OMG
— Cory Ledesma (@RealCoryLedesma) May 29, 2012"
"#OMG moments in #WWE13 are also known as environmental finishers.
— Cory Ledesma (@RealCoryLedesma) June 2, 2012"
"Examples are: Superplex to outside of the ring, Crowd barricade spear, Ring Collapse KO, announcer table finishers.#WWE13
— Cory Ledesma (@RealCoryLedesma) June 2, 2012"

WWE's Most Lovable Man with Multiple Personalities
The game is definitely aiming toward paying homage to the Attitude Era, which is one of the most beloved times in the WWE's history. The persona of that era is injected throughout this, the game's debut trailer:
As great as all that sounds, no game is perfect, not even one as chock full of customization as WWE '12. Devout fans of the series know the online servers were an issue, and we're hoping that is one of the biggest improvements this year.
There have been rumors that THQ will use the same servers as WWE '12. Why is it only a rumor?
Because the folks at WWE Gaming.com said so:
"Treat this as a rumor until confirmed
- WWE 13 will use the same THQ servers as WWE 12 did for Community Creations. They have spent a lot of time fixing the WWE 13 portion of the servers and this is a reason the WWE 12 ones were never completely fixed. Time and money!
"
They are not affiliated with the WWE, but they are one of the premier sources for information on WWE games. Before you panic, there is still a ton of time to get this right, as the game isn't scheduled to release until October 30.
The ceiling for this game is very high, and if the servers are improved it could be a candidate for Game of the Year. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available, and follow me on Twitter for updates.
