New Line Cinema is working on a film about the former and (possibly) future New York Rangers' Sean Avery's experiences as a summer intern at the fashion bible Vogue.

Avery, who considers himself something of a fashion jock, did a summer internship at Vogue, where, among other duties, he served as guest editor of MensVogue.com.
New Line, which is developing a big-screen account of his experiences in the fashion world and the relationships he made there.

New Line's sleeper hit "Journey to the Center of the Earth," will produce. They have hired Stan Chervin to write the screenplay. Chevrin's screen crdits include three baseball movies: Moe Berg: The Catcher Was A Spy, The Dixon Cornbelt League, and Moneyball.

Steven Soderbergh is in talks to direct "Moneyball," the Columbia Pictures adaptation of Michael Lewis' book "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game."

The book focuses on Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics, who used a sophisticated computer analysis system to piece together a team that regularly contended for the World Series despite a payroll dramatically lower than the New York Yankees.

Brad Pitt is set to play GM Billy Beane.

The Dixon Cornbelt League is based on the book of the same name by W.P. Kinsella, whose novel Shoeless Joe was turned into the movie starring Kevin Costner called Field Of Dreams.

The Dixon Cornbelt League is about an undrafted college ballplayer who finds a job in Grand Mound, Iowa. Avery was once an undrafted Jr. A player who won a job with the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings.

The new movie is based on his experience at Vogue and Men's Vogue, which he documented in an article called "In The Crease", the diary of a fashion jock.

Following in Avery's footsteps, the Philadelphia Eagles' Stewart Bradley, is interning at Elle magazine.

Denver Broncos tight end Nate Jackson will embark upon a career as an intern in the offices of Def Jam come February.
