Belmont Stakes 2012 Post Positions: I'll Have Another Draws Post No. 11

Carlos TorresJun 7, 2018

Twelve was the final tally of participants when the entries and post positions for the 144th running of the Belmont Stakes were drawn a few minutes ago at Belmont Park.

There was a late surprising addition to the field as My Adonis was entered and favorite I'll Have Another drew post No. 11.

This means the favorite will once again have a clear line on the outside and should help him on his quest to become the 12th Triple Crown winner in horse racing history.

His main rival, Dullahan, drew post No. 5, and third morning line favorite Union Rags drew post No. 3. They both will have to work around some faster horses to get on the clear early.

The benefit both will have is the race is 12 furlongs long, so they will have plenty of time and top jockeys aboard them that should get the job done.

A very important development is that long shot Unstoppable U was officially entered and drew post position No. 2. This virtually assures this horse will be the early pace setter.

Another fast horse, Paynter, drew No. 9, so he will very likely be forwardly placed second in the early going making his race alongside the favorite I'll Have Another.

It promises to be a superbly interesting race after this post positions have been drawn. Make sure you don't miss it as history will be written once again.

Below you will find the full information on the post positions an TV Coverage.
