How to Save ECW and Make It Great

I have just read the article by Sam Brown on how John Morrison should turn babyface and be the centerpiece on ECW.

While I totally agree and believe Morrison is the new HBK or Jeff Hardy, I think there are other issues that have to be resolved as well: Many simple tweaks and a few huge changes.

Here is how I would fix ECW:

1. Make every match extreme rules (or at least one a night).

This makes sense, cause after all isn't it called Extreme Championship Wrestling for a reason? This would give the show a special purpose.

Knowing that on a Tuesday night you were going to see tables, ladders and chairs, trash cans, ring bells smashed over people's heads and blood on WWE TV, this would make you watch this show!

Have title matches having to be defended under extreme rules, etc.

You get the point!

2. Bring the Tag titles over to ECW

Don't John Morrison and The Miz defend them on every show anyway? Here's an idea, why not make the tag titles exclusive to ECW and have them defended there? How many times have you seen John Morrison and the Miz defend them on Tuesday nights?

Never!

You could have very over acts like Cryme Time, Jesse and Festus, and maybe this new power tag team, Kane and Mike Knox 

3. Call The ECW Championship, The ECW World Championship

This is a simple but effective move. If a guy like Jack Swagger holds it doesn't it sound good calling him a world champion considering the is the head for that brand while holding the title?

Wouldn't Matt Hardy seemed like more of a big deal on ECW if he was called a "World Champion". Simple move if they did it, but an effective one to put over talent.

4. Move a couple of big stars to ECW

So obviously Randy Orton or Triple H aren't moving to ECW anytime soon, but how about Rey Mysterio, The Big Show, CM Punk that kind of calibre of star? Mix that in with John Morrison, Evan Bourne, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger, and you have a seriously hot show with way higher TV ratings and more exciting wrestling.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
