Brazil vs. Mexico: Upset of Vaunted Brazil Shows No Team Is Unbeatable
Mexico only beat Brazil in an international friendly, but the impact will be seen around the world.
Giovani Dos Santos was the player to watch during the thrilling match, scoring the opening goal with a beautiful chip over the goalkeeper's head. He also was the main reason for a penalty kick, which his teammate Javier Hernandez finished nicely.
The contest was an exhibition, but the 2-0 Mexican victory showed with a couple great finishes and some luck, anything is possible.

Brazil came into the friendly rated as one of the best teams in the world. Despite the loss, the squad did little to change that notion.
Throughout the match, Brazil dominated play. They controlled possession for twice as long as their opponent and took 10 more shots on goal. The only thing missing was the ball in the back of the net, but with the scorers up front that will not be a problem in the future.
Instead, the story was simply the resiliency of Mexico. The team took an early lead and did everything they could to not relinquish it. They were not the better team, but still came away with the win.
Many Americans were troubled with its teams' 4-1 defeat at the hands of Brazil a week ago. Seeing that same team get shutout in a loss to the United States' biggest rival only exacerbated those concerns. However, there is no reason to be discouraged.
Those who watched the game saw an American team that created tons of scoring opportunities that simply were not finished. They took more shots, had more corner kicks and held possession almost as long as Brazil.
With a few more breaks, the score could have looked much different.
The games that matter are coming up soon, and every team in the world should have taken notice of the matchup between Mexico and Brazil. Each squad should now know that they can win any game if they go in with full confidence.
