John Cena's Most Notorious TMZ Moments

John Cena was once again the subject of the aggressive celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, as familiar news of the former WWE Champion's financial troubles surfaced. 

The website recently reported that a lien was filed against his Florida home, which was believed to be the source of his ongoing divorce. 

Cena has been very popular on the website when it comes to gossip fodder.

Given his level of celebrity as the face of a multimillion dollar wrestling company, Cena's noteworthy activities outside of the ring have become just as newsworthy as his incomparable career inside of it. 

John Cena Involved in Car Accident During WrestleMania Season

The WWE and Vince McMahon received the scare of a lifetime as John Cena prepared to take on the Rock in a match billed as being "Once in a Lifetime."

Cena was rear-ended by a tractor trailer just before a live RAW show on March 19; however, no major injuries were suffered by the WWE's poster boy, who was deemed OK to wrestle The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII. 

John Cena Files for Divorce

Perhaps the biggest headline outside of the ring involving John Cena was the announcement that John Cena planned to file for divorce from his wife and high-school sweetheart, Liz Cena. 

The news began what is expected to be a long-winded and ugly cycle of divorce proceedings as the estranged couple does battle over asset allocation and prenuptial agreements.  

John Cena Match Against Alberto Del Rio Features a Run-in...by a Mouse

It's quite rare for actual wrestling matches to earn any coverage on TMZ, but this was exactly the case as a match between Alberto Del Rio and John Cena was compromised by a tiny mouse. 

During a RAW show at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, Alberto Del Rio was retreating from a seething John Cena. 

While Cena was cutting a spirited promo, a mouse could be spotted scurrying off near the barricade. 

The presence of the rodent was not attributed to a rodent problem by the building, but rather a culprit who brought a feeder mouse into the building. 

John Cena Hit with $15,000 Lien by a Florida Roofing Company

John Cena received a not-so-festive holiday treat late last year, as it was revealed on TMZ that he had failed to pay a roofing company that worked on his now-infamous Florida home. 

The roofing company responded by a filing a tax lien of $15,214. 

The lien was paid off in February of this year.

John Cena Hit with Another Lien, This Time for $110,000

Problems leading to John Cena's now-publicized pending divorce were made clearer as TMZ revealed that John Cena had failed to pay a contractor for work done on his Florida home, and he has since been hit with a $110,000 lien.

The financial toll in which the house took on Cena has been credited as the chief reason that the WWE Superstar split from his wife. 

It is not believed that Cena's ongoing troubles with his pricey Florida home have caused him to go broke, but rather somebody close to Cena failing to keep up with staying on top of their bill payments.
