Who Is The WWE's All Time King Of Controversy?
For a while I have been known around B/R as the King of Controversy.
Ron Johnson held that title until I came around.
But that got me to thinking, who is the WWE's All-Tim King of Controversy?

Who is the guy who anytime you see, always has something going on with him?
Many have their ideas of who it could be. Heck, right now you could make a case for Randy Orton after what he has pulled.
But the one guy who has caused so much controversy in the WWE and quite frankly the wrestling world would have to be Vince McMahon.
See he has had big feuds with the likes of Stone Cold, Triple H, The Rock, Ric Flair, and his children Shane and Stephanie McMahon.
And who can forget the feud with D-Generation X? Sure DX came out ahead most of the time, but Vince still wins in the end.
In the ratings war between WCW and the WWF was one of Vince's crowning controversial periods. Not only did he allow Stone Cold to act as if he had a gun to his head to shock the world, but he also had women such as Trish Stratus strip on TV.
Sure, the male population would say they have no problem with that, but to many people it was a controversial thing. RAW was live, which meant if they messed up or something went wrong then it came out anyway.
Anything that goes on TV, Vince knows about it and/or is involved in some way in what happened. The controversial that the WWE did at this time made censors go crazy not only that, but many wanted them off TV.
Of course with DX on TV you saw a lot of controversial things, which passed through Vince of course. Heck everything does. Vince even knows how many times the wrestlers pee a day, he is that involved.
Not only that, but he had to go in front of the world, and claim he had nothing to do with illegal steroids way back in the late '80s-early '90s. If Hulk Hogan would have said he was sold steroids by McMahon, Vince would have gone to jail.
So from then on, Vince was considered a controversial figure in the wrestling world. And most likely the entire world. He just got a Hollywood star for what he has done on TV and with the WWE.
Which tells you that he transcended the world of professional wrestling and TV all together. Whether it be controversial or not, he still was a success. But in the WWE he has been involved in the most controversial storylines.
I mentioned the Stone Cold storyline, when he allowed him to hold a gun to his head and hold him hostage. He made Trish strip, he was invovled in one of the biggest storylines in wrestling history—the Montral Screw Job.
Which made him incredibly controversial, because many thought it was real. Sure there is a lot that went into it, but the fact still remains it was controversial. HBK didn't make the storyline, he was only following orders, by—you guessed it, Vince McMahon.
Any storyline we saw in the WWE went through Vince, any and all events, shows, and storylines. So if you're looking for a controversial figure, the answer is clear.
This has been an Assassin article.
