WWE Raw SuperShow: Top 5 Moments of the Night

With WWE turning its sights towards No Way Out, the WWE Raw SuperShow put players into position, and angles developed. Bleacher Report has rounded up the top five moments from what turned out to be a solid episode of Raw.

The Memorial Day episode of Raw focused a great deal on Big Show's recent heel turn, and how he felt the fans, and a few particular Superstars, turned their backs on him after begging John Laurinaitis for his job two weeks ago.

The Tag Team Champions were in action against a team whose time together may be coming to an end, and CM Punk was in action against Daniel Bryan.

Tag Team Titles Defended, Rift Between Swagger and Ziggler Grows

Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth successfully defended their titles in a fast-paced tag team match against Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger on Raw last night.

As Raw gets ready to move to three hours full time, we'll likely see many titles getting defended on television, but I'm still glad to see any title defense go down on a two-hour Raw.

It was another good win for the champs, who are in the process of being established as legitimate champions, and served to develop a rift between Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. After Swagger was pinned by R-Truth, Ziggler left the ring claiming that he was "better than this."

The sooner Ziggler can step out on his own, the better, but how soon that may be is anyone's guess.

CM Punk on the Cover of WWE '13

The cover of THQ's WWE '13 was presented by CM Punk after John Laurinaitis attempted to reveal a cover featuring himself.

Punk put a stop to Laurinaitis' cover nonsense and revealed the true cover on a large banner, putting the size of Laurinaitis' cover poster to shame.

Punk noted that he had never got tell Laurinaitis that "mine is bigger than yours" to his face, and that Eve sure was looking at it.

Yeah, that really happened.

As a gamer, I'm thrilled to see Punk on the cover, and also curious about the Attitude Era sticker on the cover as well. 

Big Show Cuts Another Solid Promo

Big Show opened Raw with another good heel promo, where he addressed at length the reasoning behind his recent actions. 

Two weeks ago, Big Show broke down in tears, begging for his job in the ring. Immediately after, Brodus Clay, R-Truth and Kofi Kingston went about their match and celebration before his tears even had a chance to dry on the mat. 

John Cena didn't stand up for Big Show that night, either, instead spending his time in front of John Laurinaitis making jokes. The crowd didn't care, either.

At least, that's how Big Show interpreted things.

Big Show did an excellent job during the promo, he even quelled the "WHAT!" chants that so many heels simply put up with.

All in all, it was a good start to the show, and showed that the heel turn is bringing out the best Big Show we've seen in quite some time.

Big Show Picks on Someone His Own Size (And Destroys Him)

Big Show's match with Brodus Clay never actually began, as he attacked Clay before the bell rang.

Show beat him down, destroyed an announce table, then took out the Tag Team Champions as well. 

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth attempted to save Brodus, and paid for that attempt big time.

After manhandling Truth and Kofi, Big Show knocked out Brodus Clay with the WMD, leaving a path of destruction behind him to close the show. 

Punk vs. Bryan: AJ Continues to Support Punk

CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan on Raw? You knew this would make the top five moments of the night!

A very solid match took an interesting turn when AJ came out to support Punk, even wearing a modified CM Punk shirt.

Daniel Bryan got the win after dropping Punk face first on an exposed turnbuckle, but didn't have too long to celebrate as Kane appeared and battered Bryan with a steel chair. 

AJ was quick on the draw, and grabbed a chair to give to Punk before Kane turned on him as well, allowing Punk to fight off Kane. 

I wouldn't trust AJ as far as I could throw her (which is pretty far, people) but she certainly seems like Punk's favorite kind of crazy.
