French Open 2012 TV Schedule: Best Ways to Watch French Open Action

Josh SchochJun 7, 2018

As the French Open 2012 finishes the second round and enters the third round of singles play, tennis fans stay glued to the TV as things heat up at Roland Garros.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and more fight for the right to be called "champion" on the men's side, while Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova among others fight for the same right on the women's side.

All desire to celebrate on Paris' fabled clay courts, and fans can't get enough of the action.

We've already seen history at the 2012 French Open, as Serena Williams, the No. 1 American woman, lost in the first round of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career.

So far, France has been an unforgiving place for big-name American tennis players, as veteran Andy Roddick was also defeated in the first round of the men's singles by Nicolas Mahut.

However, other Americans have been doing well, as 10 of the 12 women in the field advanced to the second round, and both Mardy Fish and John Isner moved on.

Perhaps this tournament was made for the young, up-and-coming stars instead of veterans. Old-timers such as Roddick, Lleyton Hewitt and David Nalbandian fell in the first round.

If this is the case, then Federer had better watch out.

The 2012 French Open looks to be full of upsets on both sides. No. 1 overall women's seed Azarenka struggled in her first match, squeaking by Alberta Brianti in three sets, and No. 16 Alexandr Dolgopolov fell in four sets.

Roland Garros has already provided us with thrilling matches, but the best is yet to come.

There is still more tennis to be played, and the fun has just begun in Paris. For the best ways to watch the rest of the action, check the schedule below.
