Metta World Peace Would Like You to Enjoy Labor Day on This Fine Memorial Day

The smell of barbecue is in the air, and the weather is getting warm. It must be Memorial Day...or is it Labor Day? Someone get Metta World Peace on the this mystery. 

While everyone was giving thanks to veterans and current military personal on a grand Memorial Day, Metta World Peace was tweeting before thinking—an act that is far too prevalent in the sports world. 

Here is the gem that carried us through the day, via the Huffington Post, as the Metta World Peace tweet has since been deleted.  

You really have to hand it to Metta World Peace. He finds new and inventive ways to keep us all captivated, even as he heads into summer vacation. 

There is never a dull moment when the artist formerly known as Ron Artest is around. The funny thing is that people are sounding off with shock at the tweet. 

Um, this is pretty par for the course as it pertains to the mystery that is MWP. 

World Peace did get the memo of his gaffe, and he remedied it with the following tweet:

There was this confirmation of his whoopsie as well:

A quick look at some of the responses shows that some fans are incensed at the failed tweet. Relax. 

World Peace then went on to ask for tweets from his followers on what this day means to them, far making up for a simple mistake. 

If you are looking for reason to hate on World Peace, this is hardly the biggest one. If I were you, I would sit back and relax, because the next blunder is right around the corner, and it will be hilarious.
