Jeter’s Interview with Jimmy Traina of SI.com
Jimmy Traina of SI.com did an interview with Derek Jeter this past Tuesday. He talked about the upcoming season, A-Rod, Joe Torreโs book, etc. The interview was done at the Gillette-EA SPORTS Champions of Gaming Global Finals in Orlando, Florida. Jeter was participating int he video game tournament there. He played against Jose Miguel Morales Herrera of Mexico.

"SI.com: OK, then letโs talk about this upcoming season. The Yankees had a big offseason, signing CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett and Mark Texeira. Do those moves and spending that kind of money put even more pressure on you to win it all?
Jeter: I donโt know how you can say โmoreโ pressure because every year weโre expected to win a championship. Thatโs the bottom line. So I donโt know how you could have โmoreโ pressure than winning it all. So every year, itโs the same expectations for us and that wonโt change.

SI.com: OK, letโs talk about fun stuff. We just had a great Super Bowl. Where did you watch the game?
Jeter: I watched it at Jorge Posadaโs house.
SI.com: Big party?
Jeter: No, a couple of people.
SI.com: Whatโd you think of the game? Which team were you pulling for?
Jeter: Good game, it was an exciting game. Great ending. Iโve gotten to know Ben [Roethlisberger] through the years, so I was pulling for him.

Jeter: Itโs probably like everyone elseโs New Yearโs Eve. Count down from 10 to 1 and then you celebrate.

Jeter: This interview right here. This has been the most fun Iโve had this offseason.
SI.com: Iโm honored.
