SEC Football Top 150 Players: No. 96, Christian Robinson, Georgia LB
The SEC Blog will be counting down the top 150 players in the SEC every day, concluding on Aug. 30 at the start of the college football regular season.
96. Christian Robinson, No. 45, Georgia Linebacker
2011 stats: 47 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss
Strengths
The 6'2", 226-pound rising senior is one of the emotional leaders of Georgia's defense. He has started 15 games and appeared in 37 during his first three years with the Bulldogs. He has a nose for the football and is a reliable player for defensive coordinator in a starting or backup role.
Weaknesses
It looks like Robinson may be stuck behind Mike Gilliard and Alec Ogletree on the Bulldog depth chart, so his playing time may be limited in 2012. But with Ogletree likely suspended for the first two games of the season for violation of team rules, Robinson will be counted on by defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.
2012 Prediction
Georgia is loaded at defense, and Robinson will be a big part of its success. He's a versatile linebacker that will make an impact in the running game, passing game and in the huddle.
