Little League Video: Watch Umpire Show Up Toddler in Hilarious Fashion
There is a plague taking over the nation, and I wouldn't mind it continuing a little while longer.
It may not be Girls Gone Wild, but the latest rash of umpires getting silly deserves far more attention. The last we left off, we saw this umpire scream a kid off stage.
There is another.
This umpire really puts his back into calling out a player that we are going to say ranges in age from small to tiny.
Either way, the kid is innocent and has done nothing to warrant such a venomous third called strike. I mean, he was already humiliated by a 12-to-6 curveball chucked by another assumed 10-year old.
There is also a code in baseball that you just don't show up another man, but this is just too funny. I have tried to get with the vitriol of others that see this video and call out the umpire for being cheap and petty.
It's true, people don't show up to Little League games to see umpires, but that doesn't mean the games have to be boring either.
I, like many of you, have played and watched a great many Little League games. The highlight is getting a foul ball and getting a free candy, the Ecto-Coolers that used to adorn the post-game snacks or seeing that one awkward kid fall over himself in the outfield.
The rest of it is bad baseball being played by kids.
I say let umpires do as they please, because they are most likely falling asleep under those masks anyway.
Sorry, kid. This was just too funny.
Follow me on Twitter and we can fight about it.
