Podcast of the Week: ACC Sports Tackles Expansion from a Couple of Angles
It's Friday, folks, and as you gear up for the Memorial Day weekend, we have you set up with some listening material for your ears to enjoy.
Podcast of the week is back, and while we have dropped ample thoughts on expansion here at Your Best 11, we have also been finding different perspectives to kick your way with respect to expansion. Today, we're heading into the heartland of the ACC by pulling the ACC Sports Podcast for you to give a listen.
Two of my favorite guys in the sports media world join forces for this show, and it is definitely an enjoyable listen from both an informative and a comedic standpoint.
Jim Young of ACC Sports and Hayes Permar of the David Glenn Show get together to talk about conference realignment with a bit of an ACC focus. After a little piano fun, the guys talk a little ACC as Bear Stearns, in an analogy that absolutely fits from a "rumors creating reality" standpoint.
Give the guys a listen. Jim Young talks about which of the two is more important, money or wins. Great question as teams like Florida State are looking to leave for money, but the road would get tougher with Oklahoma and Texas standing in their way of their national title push.
Another interesting topic broached is if the ACC would be better off if the league returned to the 90s-styled life: Florida State winning everything. It would give the league a legitimate national player, but all the other teams would not be seeing much in the way of success.
To get the podcast online, you can head on over to ACC Sports and give it a listen. If you'd like to grab the show and listen a bit later, you can just download it here.
