Pacquiao vs. Bradley Predictions: Why Bradley Will Score Historic Knockout
Timothy Bradley is going to rock the boxing world by scoring an epic KO of Manny Pacquiao. He has the skills, drive and determination to pull off this nearly unimaginable task, and he is also catching Manny at the right time.
Still, few people are giving Bradley a shot to pull this off; Bovada has him listed as a plus-325 underdog. Look closely, and you should see that the odds should not be that long.
Hand Speed and Footwork
Bradley has exceptional hand speed, and he can throw punches from many angles. He will be able to slip the jab in to keep Manny off balance.
This will leave Manny frustrated and cause him to take chances. Invariably, these two will get toe-to-toe, and that is where Bradley will have to use his footwork.
By nature, Bradley likes to go straight ahead, however, he has the feet to circle and move. He must do that here and strike with his quick hands.
Bradley's hands aren't just quick—they are also accurate. He always has a nice efficiency rate, and Pacquiao's defense has never been his strongest quality. Bradley will be able to hit him.
He can stay on the move and set Manny up with the jab and set him up for big, damage-causing flourishes.
Manny's Decline
At 33, Manny Pacquiao is reaching the stage when plenty of boxers begin to show a decline in skills.
Manny might be going through that decline. In his last two fights, Pacquiao has struggled through stretches, trying to power through his shin splints. To help with this, PacMan has adjusted his training.
However, this may be a sign of the inevitable toll that age takes—not a manifestation of training methods.
Bradley, 29, does not have the same concerns. Not only is he four years younger, but he does not have anywhere near as many fights.
Bradley enters this fight at the peak of his abilities, while PacMan has begun the inevitable decline.
The Right Hand
Bradley is not an excellent counterpuncher, but he has decent defense.
In this fight, that defense is going to be vital against the more powerful PacMan. He will want to circle to his right when Manny throws bombs with his left. This will set up Bradley to throw his right hand.
Bradley has nowhere near the power of Manny, but he has a solid right that can do damage. Bradley is going to be able to wear Manny down over the course of this fight.
Bradley will then be able to circle out of the way of a big punch thrown by a fatigued Manny and land a huge blow with his right that sends Manny to the canvas and rocks the boxing world.
