Alabama Football Recruiting: Reuben Foster Is Set to Be Another Big-Time Tide LB
We have had plenty of discussions about the Alabama Crimson Tide's depth chart when it comes to the linebacker position. They are deep and they are all good.
Well, it seems Nick Saban aims to continue adding to the mix. After inking six linebacker types in 2012's cycle, Saban is hot on the trail for 2013, folks. He has a commitment from the nation's top linebacker prospect, Reuben Foster, and this is another kid who is going to be tough to keep off the field once he gets to Tuscaloosa.
I love getting to work with the guys at Full Ride to break down some of these high school tapes, especially when they are kids like Reuben Foster. Foster, who now plays his high school ball in Auburn, Alabama, is a treat to watch. He is fast and tough, has good size and is not a shy ballplayer. Foster sticks his nose into the fray play after play, and the enjoyment he gets out of delivering a blow is a treat to watch.
Foster is in an interesting situation, as he is right in the heartland of Auburn Tiger territory. Gene Chizik, Trooper Taylor and Brian VanGorder most certainly have eyeballs on the kid, as he could be a great centerpiece for VanGorder to build his defense around going forward.
Nick Saban has done a good job fighting off the energy and excitement the Auburn staff brings into the recruiting arena, but with Foster's proximity, it will be quite interesting to watch and see if his commitment wavers.
In the end, Reuben Foster is a heck of a ballplayer. Enjoy the clips and the analysis, and, as always, be sure to subscribe to Full Ride to get all of your recruiting updates.
