Feliz last started on May 18th against the Houston Astros. He struggled terribly with his control in that game and lasted just 4.2 innings.
The Rangers have used his roster spot to recall right-handed reliever Yoshinori Tateyama from Triple-A Round Rock. They have not said who will take his next scheduled start, but the Associated Press speculated it would be right-hander Scott Feldman.
This is Feliz's first season as a major league starter. He spent the past two years racking up 72 saves as the Rangers closer.
His brief time as a starter has seen him produce mixed results. He has pitched 42.2 innings this year, and gone 3-1 with a respectable ERA of 3.16, but has struggled with consistency, mostly due to control problems. He has 23 walks and 37 strikeouts this year.
Keep it locked into this page as we will post updates on his progress as they become available.
