Few would ever accuse Cristiano Ronaldo of possessing such an admirable trait as humility.

Gullit: Ronaldo Can Be Difference-Maker

Dutch legend Ruud Gullit (pictured) is tipping Cristiano Ronaldo for great things this summer at Euro 2012.

Ronaldo, says Gullit, can make the difference for Portugal in the "Group of Death" with Germany, Holland and Denmark.

"While there are many stars determined to leave a mark in Poland and Ukraine, I will be keenly following the performance of a select few in the tournament, those whose quality should determine how their respective teams perform in the competition," Gullit wrote in a column for The Times of India

"One of them would be Cristiano Ronaldo. He has come into his own under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid and will be keen to replicate that form in the national colours. If he does so, that will make him a very dangerous customer. He is fleet-footed and has the ability to score from any position."

Ballon d'Or?

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho (pictured) thinks Cristiano Ronaldo should win the Ballon d'Or—which recognizes the best footballer in the world—this year.

So does Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Here's what Mourinho said, per The Independent:

The Madrid boss told Portuguese TV station SIC: "Cristiano has to win the Ballon d'Or, not because he has been the top goalscorer, he was that already last season, but because his goals have delivered a title.

"Messi scored 50 goals that weren't worth anything, in the same way that Cristiano scored 42 last season that didn't stand for anything.

"He hasn't been able to win the Pichichi and I believe he should be compensated with the Ballon d'Or."

Suarez was less blunt but said mostly the same thing. From

"Messi has scored an historic amount of goals, but I would give the Ballon d’Or to Cristiano Ronaldo for the year he has had and because he helped Madrid to win the league," Suarez told Marca.
