Arsenal Managed to Sign One Player From Janaury Transfer, Is It Good Enough?
Arsenal are now set to make a club record signing for Andrei Arsharvin. A good signing which will boost many much needed traits in the Arsenal midfield. But apart from the talented Russian Arsenal have managed to sign how many players? Zilch.
Due to the lack of work in the September transfer, Arsenal were unable to replace the experience lost in the midfield. With midfielders Gilberto Silva, Alexander Hleb, and Mathieu Flamini all leaving the Gunners, the midfield was left seriously understrength and lacking serious inexperience.
Although in the September transfer window Arsenal did manage to sign hugely talented winger Samir Nasri from French giants Marseille. Nasri has been instrumental in most Arsenal wins, with a spectacular effort against rivals Manchester United.

Arsenal also managed to snatch exciting teen Aaron Ramsey from Cardiff City, but the Welshman has been unable to make any serious impact due to lack of playing time and lack of experience. Arsenal also signed injury prone midfielder Amauary Bischoff and French second division talent Francis Coqulien who does have a big future.
With Arsenal's midfield and defensive problems, which have been concurring through out the season, most fans couldn't wait for January, and when it finally came most fans expected some quality signings, but they were sadly mistaken.
During January, Arsenal were in talks with many players, but none seemed to want to actually sign with the club. The likes of Mikel Arterta, Brede Hangeland, Jimmy Bullard, Alberto Aquilani, and Micah Richards were all supposedly linked with Arsenal, but nothing came off it. The only player who expressed interest in joining Arsenal was Charles N'Zogbia, but his time has gone.
So will Arsharvin be enough or will Arsenal struggle with the lack of expierence? They do have a handful of injured players returning in 4-10 weeks, but for now they just need to worry about beating scum.
