Manchester United Transfer News: Luka Modric Would Be Great Fit at Old Trafford
Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric won't determine his future at White Hart Lane until after the European Championships next month, and Manchester United would be smart to make a bid for the star this summer.
Per the Mirror:
"Defiant Luka Modric has reignited doubts over his Spurs future by claiming he could be off after Euro 2012.
Modric, 26, said: “I will decide about my future after the Euros.
“I will make the decision where to continue my career. I’m ready for the big tests.”

By saying he's ready for big tests, it seems as if Modric wouldn't be opposed to leaving Spurs for a club like Manchester City or Manchester United. It's speculation, but it's not a far-fetched idea, either.
Tottenham are a top Premier League club, but they won't be a legitimate title contender unless they bring in a number of quality players over the summer transfer window.
Spurs finished fourth in the table this season and have qualified for the Champions League again, pending the outcome of Chelsea's Champions League Final match with Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Modric would be the perfect man for United's struggling midfield. His playmaking abilities would really bolster the creativity of the Red Devils' attack.
This is a big summer for United, who need to address several weaknesses of the club during the summer. Finding a world-class playmaker in the midfield who can set up forwards like Wayne Rooney with scoring chances should be the top priority for manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Anderson and Tom Cleverley are good players, but they are not on the level of Modric in terms of picking out passes and creating goals.
Bringing Modric to Old Trafford would be an expensive move for Ferguson, but it would be well worth it.
