Podcast of the Week: Florida State to the Big 12 Remains the Big Topic

The topic this week that has saturated the college football world has been Florida State and the ACC. The Seminoles are not happy with the cash that the league is bringing in, and now the 'Noles are looking for ways to improve their lot.

That means conference moves and chasing the dollars.

Florida State's camp is as disjointed a group of leaders as we've seen in the expansion dance, as some say they want to leave, others say they are staying, while others say the talks have already begun.

On the Crystal Ball Run podcast, one of the better Florida State beat writers, Coley Harvey of the Orlando Sentinel, talks about all of these issues. The big problem that must be noted for people who do not understand Florida State's outrage is that it has a money-making machine across the state.

Florida, unlike Florida State, is flush with cash. It's pumping money into the program, and if Florida State continues to fall behind in revenue, by way of the ACC contract, then it becomes even more difficult for the Seminoles to keep up with their own Joneses. 

Harvey runs down the pros and cons with Allen Kenney from several different angles. He looks at the travel budgets, the destabilization of the ACC as a whole and whether or not Florida State would be better served to do this dance with a travel partner.

All in all, it is a great listen.
