Alabama Freshmen Who Will Be Household Names by the End of the Season

Alabama lost a wealth of talent from last season’s national title-winning squad—but help is on the way in the form of a recruiting class billed as the nation’s best in 2012. 

Still, even with an influx of talent arriving in Tuscaloosa this summer—the plight for incoming freshman trying to make an early impact is an uphill climb considering the caliber of players Nick Saban has been able to attract over the last few years. 

That said, a trio of highly-touted prospects have a chance to emerge for Saban’s ball club this fall. 

Safety Landon Collins made headlines when he committed to Alabama over home-state power LSU, but now that the drama has subsided, he will get a chance to show the country why he was so coveted by the two SEC West titans. 

Meanwhile, on offense, a pair of skill players who arrived in Tuscaloosa in January are ready to bust loose after impressing Saban with their play in the spring. 

Running back TJ Yeldon emerged as the star of the spring, while Cooper is looking to bring a big-play element to the Crimson Tide’s air attack. 

Expect these three freshmen to capitalize on their opportunity to become household names by season’s end.
