WWE Over the Limit 2012: Is the Zack Ryder vs. Kane Too Little, Too Late?
In a move that thus far has proved to be a smart one, the WWE is broadcasting another pre-PPV match via YouTube. The concept begun at WrestleMania this past April and was once again used at Extreme Rules last month.
Although certainly an exciting move for the company, the choice for the two men who will compete in this pre-PPV match is a little perplexing.
The match will feature Kane and Zack Ryder.

This follows a feud which was briefly reignited last month at Extreme Rules when Ryder attacked Kane during his match with Randy Orton.
One questions remains though: is this match too little, too late?
Back in January of this year, things were looking bright for Zack Ryder.
His YouTube show had garnered him a huge fan following in 2011, which even lead to him winning the United States Championship from Dolph Ziggler at TLC.
Then something weird happened. Ryder was awkwardly interjected in a storyline that involved John Cena and Kane.
The storyline saw Ryder lose his US Championship to Jack Swagger and had the "Long Island Iced-Z" sidelined with a storyline injury after Kane attacked him. Many predicted (and requested) a Zack Ryder vs. Kane grudge match at WrestleMania only to be denied such an event.
Flash forward two months, as we head into Over the Limit this Sunday, interest in Zack Ryder vs. Kane is at an all-time low. If my predictions are correct, this match will be a short match in which (although the stipulations do not call for it) Zack Ryder will be buried (along with his career).
A clean pin for Ryder at Over the Limit would help cement the young superstar, but the chances of that happening are honestly zero-to-none. Begging the question, what is the point of this match?
Kane's victory over Ryder is expected—meaning the match will be tedious. The only chance for redemption here is to have Ryder win/lose via some external force.
Maybe Eve comes out and stops the match before Ryder is severely injured, only to turn it into a handicap match.
Or, maybe a half-frozen Paul Bearer comes to the aid of Ryder. Whatever the case, unless this match offers a surprising ending, fans watching this free match will be getting their money's worth.
