Chelsea Transfer News: Blues Warned off Coveted Serie A Star Stevan Jovetic
Chelsea aren't focused on the transfer window just yet—they still have the Champions League final to play—but Serie A side Fiorentina won't allow the Blues to swoop for their 22-year-old star Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegrin standout was a transfer target for Chelsea this winter, but they were unable to strike a deal with the Italian squad. According to a report from the Daily Mirror, they're now being pushed away before they even get a chance at him this summer:
"Chelsea have been warned off making a move for Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegrin has long been on the radar of several Premier League clubs and reports have emerged in Italy this week linking the Montenegrin with a switch to Stamford Bridge.
"We want to build our future around Jovetic," Fiorentina club administrator Sandro Mencucci told Gazzetta dello Sport. "He has a contract until June 2016.
"Being a great player, it's normal that several clubs are monitoring him."

The Blues are likely to see Didier Drogba leave this summer on a free transfer, opening up a spot for a new striker. However, that striker won't be Jovetic.
The playmaker scored 14 goals and assisted on three others in 27 league appearances this season.
Jovetic is the club's vice-captain, and a player the Italian club sees leading their potential move up the Serie A table.
Chelsea, who obviously have a number of players on their radar, will have to turn elsewhere to find another potential scoring threat. Fernando Torres, Salomon Kalou, Daniel Sturridge, Lucas Piazon and one of last year's signees, Romelu Lukaku, are all expected back.
