Chelsea Transfer Rumors: Blues Will Be Ready to Smash If They Land Hulk

With the addition of a player the caliber of FC Porto star Hulk, Chelsea will be ready to make huge waves next year.

Their surprising run to the Champions League finals shows just has talented this team is, and with the addition of someone capable of bringing the punch that Hulk brings, they will be a force to be reckoned with. 

They seem to be aware of this. 

The Rumors

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea has their eyes on Hulk, and they already have a role in mind for him.

Chelsea want Hulk to operate in an attacking left-sided role, alongside their other prime target Edinson Cavani of Napoli, but they face competition, after Fonseca said: 'In the last week or so, I have been talking to four Premier League clubs about Hulk, and Tottenham are one of them.'

The rumors are certainly believable enough. The role described is a perfect fit, and Chelsea is in a position to make a splash like this. 

Hulk's Potential Impact

The massive striker will bring a high level of physicality and a cannon for a left foot. He is surprisingly accurate with that booming foot too, and he is a prodigious goal scorer. 

He is good in penalties and on corners, as well. 

His addition would afford Chelsea some nice flexibility. They would help ease their unsettled situation with Florent Malouda and also ease any concern over Salmon Kalou's expiring contract. 

Hulk is a unique and potent player. Chelsea isn't going to find someone with his skill-set anywhere else. He will give Chelsea a much needed boost in scoring threat and make them a far more complete team.
