SEC Football Tweets of the Week: Aaron Murray Focused on BCS Championship Game

Barrett SalleeJun 7, 2018

Every Friday on the SEC Blog, we will feature the tweets of the week from SEC players, coaches and media personalities.

Most semesters are winding down, which means that several players are finishing up final exams, graduating and going home for a little rest and relaxation.

Aaron Murray is one of 11 Georgia football players graduating on Friday, but found time to meet with head coach Mark Richt before walking the stage to discuss a little football. The BCS Championship Game in Miami Gardens, Fla. was a topic of conversation.

"

Great hour n a half meeting with the one and only CMR. Figuring out ways to make sure this team makes it to Miami

— Aaron Murray (@aaronmurray11) May 10, 2012"

Talent-wise, Georgia isn't there yet. But the Bulldogs are close enough to need just one or two breaks, plus the schedule sets up nicely for a title run.

South Carolina got some good news this week with the commitment of pro-style quarterback Connor Mitch. Mitch used Twitter to announce his intentions.

"

JUST COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA!!!!!! #GoCocks

— Connor Mitch (@Connor_Mitch3) May 8, 2012"

If Mitch redshirts during his freshman year, he will likely compete for the starting quarterback job as a redshirt freshman in 2014.

Chuck Dunlap, the Associate Director of Media Relations for the SEC, is a must-follow and is always willing to fight the good fight with regards to a limited college football postseason. He did so this week on the ridiculous notion to limit the postseason to conference champions.

"

Limiting the BCS Playoffs to conference champions would be similar to letting the 7th place finisher on the medal stand in London

— Chuck Dunlap(@SEC_Chuck) May 10, 2012"

Preach on, Chuck.

Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen doubles as a pitching coach/fashion coordinator in his spare time. Lutzenkirchen commented on Cubs relief pitcher Carlos Marmol's wardrobe.

"

Marmol walks people bc his pants are wayy to tight. Loosen up man... It's 2012

— Philip Lutzenkirchen (@lutzenkirchen) May 8, 2012"

He's right, they're a bit ridiculous.
