WWE Rumors: Secret Plans for Brock Lesnar and Triple H Bodes Well for Fans

Adam WellsJun 7, 2018

Brock Lesnar and Triple H are going to be locked in an interesting feud that is likely going to culminate in a match at SummerSlam. WWE may not have a definitive plan for the end of the rivalry, but there reportedly is a plan and no one knows what is going to happen.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, the only people in on the plans for the Lesnar and Triple H storyline are the two principle players, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, John Laurinaitis, Paul Heyman and a few others.

"

The WWE creative writing team hasn't even been informed on the specific direction of the angle. Those high ranking WWE officials are claiming Triple H vs Brock Lesnar will NOT happen at SummerSlam but reportedly sources still say the match will take place in August.

That last part about the match not happening at SummerSlam is probably nothing more than a Vince McMahon bluff to get people off the scent, even though we all know what is coming.

However, the idea of not having the entire creative team in on the feud is only going to help it. We all have a thought on this current writing staff, though it does get unfairly bashed since everything has to go through McMahon.

By not bringing the writing staff in on it, it likely means that Triple H is going to have sole booking power over this angle, and that is a win-win for everyone.

McMahon has to micromanage everything that is going on in WWE to the point that no feuds are given the proper time to develop and the story that is presented ends in disappointment.

Triple H has never been the smartest booker in the world. When he was wrestling full-time, he sacrificed others to make himself look like a bigger star just because he had that much power.

Now that Triple H is in a part-time television role, it has given him a slightly better perspective on things. He is still putting himself over at times when he shouldn't—last year's match with CM Punk immediately springs to mind—but he is great at crafting a feud that can be drawn out for weeks or even months at a time.

Obviously, Lesnar's contract has forced WWE to slow down everything, which is probably good for everyone involved. Instead of using him on a weekly basis and killing all of his drawing power due to overexposure, he is going to feel like a special attraction when he does return.

Secrets in WWE are often pointless, just because McMahon wants so desperately to mess with the dirt sheets, but keeping the Lesnar and Triple H feud quiet from everyone is going to be a big positive for the fans when it does eventually go down.
