WWE Rumors: Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton and Thursday's Top WWE News
With just over one week to go before the Over The Limit pay-per-view, it is starting to look very much like a one-match show right now. CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE championship is going to be great if it gets time, but nothing else stands out as something worth watching.
The four-way world title match with Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho vs. Alberto Del Rio has potential, and the addition of Orton and Jericho make it more appealing, though things have not been smooth with Jericho since his return and Del Rio is getting his footing back.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Of course, everything is going to be built around John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis, which has disaster written all over it. Matches will be added over the next week, so hopefully the card gets some more meat.
In the meantime, here are some fresh news and rumors from the world of WWE.
WWE KEEPING EVERYONE IN THE DARK ABOUT LESNAR-TRIPLE H ANGLE
One thing that Vince McMahon and his most trusted advisors like to do is play games with their own creative team, so it should come as no surprise that the angle between Triple H and Brock Lesnar is being tightly guarded with only a select few people in on it.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is this a good strategy for WWE?
Our Take: Given that the two principle players in the feud know what to expect, and Triple H, who has done a phenomenal job with some of his own angles in recent years, is probably going to end up booking the whole thing, this should turn out to be at least entertaining.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Tightly Guarded Secrets
Personally, the whole keeping secrets thing has gotten old in WWE. Typically when you hear that, it means the powers that be have no idea where something is going. This one deserves a chance, simply because of the two names involved.

RANDY ORTON GETS SHUNNED FROM BROCK LESNAR FEUD
With some talk about a feud between Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar being lined up for SummerSlam, it should be no shock to hear that it is off the table now. But now Orton is not planned to get any kind of feud with the big monster, at least nothing is in the works.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why does Orton keep getting screwed?
Our Take: It really is fascinating to see what WWE is doing with Orton. He is finally back in the main-event mix on SmackDown, but he has been awash in mid-level feuds for so long that his stock has fallen on hard times.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Feuds D.O.A.
The idea of a Lesnar-Orton match at some point still intrigues me. I think Orton works an aggressive enough style to keep up with Lesnar, and he has been vastly underrated as a worker the last few years. Hopefully WWE at least entertains the idea post-SummerSlam.

PAUL HEYMAN AND CM PUNK TO JOIN FORCES?
Paul Heyman's return on Monday was shocking for so many reasons, but to see him working as Brock Lesnar's legal representative is so perfect it's a shock it took this long to happen. That may not be Heyman's only role, as there are rumors he could be looking to do something with CM Punk.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Would a Heyman-Punk union be good?
Our Take: Absolutely. One of the angles that could be worked, if WWE wants to use it, is have Heyman serve Punk in the same role he does with Lesnar and reignite that long-gestating battle between the WWE champion and John Laurinaitis.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Pipebombs
If nothing else, 15 minutes of Heyman and Punk going back and forth, since that's how long everyone in WWE has to talk on Raw, would be as entertaining as anything we have heard this year.

ABRAHAM WASHINGTON'S MEDIOCRE STABLE KEEPS GETTING WORSE
In an effort to keep Abraham Washington, who is a great talker, on television, WWE sees it fit to make him a manager who keeps trying to recruit a group of low- to mid-card workers with varying degrees of success. The newest name being talked about for his stable is the one and only Mason Ryan.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why does WWE hate Abraham Washington?
Our Take: Now that's not fair. Give WWE credit for at least giving Washington a job, just not one that is going to make anyone care about him. Managers are a valuable commodity in wrestling, but WWE could care less about having them anymore.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Doomed Stables
Washington is an entertaining talker, far better than a vast majority of the roster, so it is a shame to waste him with a group of dorks. At least they will have a lot of fun rolling the roost on Superstars each week.
