WWE over the Limit Results 2012: Sheamus Retains World Heavyweight Championship
After a wild four-way World Championship match between Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton, The Great White walked out of WWE’s Over the Limit Pay-Per-View as the reigning champ.
The win is huge for Sheamus who know walks out of his third consecutive PPV as the World Heavyweight Champion. The reported push for the superstar is obviously coming to fruition.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Sheamus has been one of the hottest names in the WWE over the last few months and his continued success means there is no stopping this Irish wrecking machine.
The Great White is getting over huge with the fans, and WWE is positioning themselves to make him the baby face that can take the pressure off John Cena.
One concern that this does leave me with is that they are giving him too many wins right off the bat in a very superman style. With the backlash from John Cena’s character, the WWE should be wiser to the situation and not burn out Sheamus.
What’s Next?
While the WWE has the chance to go with any of the three combatants from this match as Sheamus’ next opponent, the storyline is clearly pointing to an extended Alberto Del Rio feud.
That would leave Chris Jericho to finish off his return to the WWE with Randy Orton in a feud that would be nothing more than another placeholder for RKO.
Besides their huge problem with Orton, the idea of a Sheamus/ADR feud could work on several different levels. The action would be solid and the mic work wouldn’t be the worst, but let’s see if WWE actually pulls the trigger.
