Triple H Accompanies Floyd Mayweather: 6 More WWE Stars for the Money Team
In case you missed it, Triple H accompanied Floyd Mayweather Jr. to the ring for his fight against Miguel Cotto this past Saturday.
Triple H and Mayweather are good friends and their relationship spans back to 2008 when Triple H worked closely with Mayweather to map out his overachieving match against the Big Show at WrestleMania XXIV.
Triple H previously walked to the ring with Mayweather for his fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, even using his famous "are you ready" catch phrase prior to Mayweather's entrance.
This time around, Triple H joined entertainment heavyweights 50 Cent and, yes, Justin Bieber as Mayweather went toe-to-toe with Cotto, stretching his undefeated streak to 43-0.
Sure, Triple H and Mayweather are tight, but outside of Mayweather's longtime friend, 50 Cent, Mayweather has shown that nobody in the celebrity wing of the Money Team is exempt after replacing previous R&B escort Ray J with the aforementioned Bieber.
So who in the WWE would be up to the task of walking side by side with Mayweather? The possibilities are intriguing, to say the least.
1. The Big Show
1 of 6They had an epic clash at WrestleMania XXIV, so why not kiss and make up by having the Big Show accompany Mayweather to a fight, possibly with Mayweather seated comfortably on Big Show's shoulders?
Since his return to the WWE in 2008, Big Show has added a boxing-style offense to his repertoire, even changing his finisher to a knockout blow called the weapon of mass destruction.
Big Show would be an intimidating presence in Mayweather's corner. Suffice to say if Show were to hold up one of Floyd's many championships, it would be visible to everyone in attendance.
2. Brock Lesnar
2 of 6He conquered the amateur wrestling word. He conquered the pro wrestling world. He conquered the MMA world, and now he has returned to conquer the WWE world again.
Given Lesnar's unquestioned athletic accolades and athletic versatility, he would fit in perfectly in the boxing world.
Lesnar has won almost everywhere he has been—that winning touch could be useful to the Mayweather camp, but it's not like Money needs it.
3. John Cena
3 of 6John Cena is the face of the WWE, and when people think of the WWE this day and age, Cena would be a more appropriate name that comes to mind.
Triple H on the Money Team represents the marriage of the WWE and Mayweather, so it would only be fair if those nuptials extended to Cena, who in many people's eyes, is the man of the house in the WWE.
4. Vince McMahon
4 of 6It's no secret that Vince McMahon loves attention, and to be on center stage for a big fight would be his version of hog heaven.
McMahon probably learned a thing or two from Mayweather about how to consistently draw big pay-per-view numbers, and the boxing world would be treated to McMahon's iconic strut to the ring prior to a Mayweather bout.
5. CM Punk
5 of 6CM Punk is a big fight fan, as he ardently follows MMA and high-profile boxing events.
Punk was tweeting live during the Mayweather-Cotto fight, and his anti-establishment appeal would fit in perfectly with Mayweather's often defiant antics.
To make things even more inconvenient, Punk wouldn't have to carry one of Mayweather's belts; he currently has a WWE Championship of his own that he could use.
6. Daniel Bryan
6 of 6Daniel Bryan's "Yes!" chant sets the tone for each match he competes in. What better way for Floyd Mayweather to get amped before a bout than to have Bryan lead the Money Team with his popular battle cry, working the MGM grand into a frenzy as Money Mayweather prepares to do battle.
