USC Football: How to Survive the 116 Days Left Until Football Season
I know what you’re thinking.
How in the world do I survive until football season starts?
It’s an age-old problem, and there is no real easy solution. But before you spend every Saturday afternoon on the coach in your authentic replica Robert Woods jersey eating hot dogs and watching the replay of the 2011 USC v. UCLA game, here are a few things that you should and shouldn’t do while waiting for September to roll around.
DON’T loiter around Heritage Hall waiting for a glimpse of your favorite athlete. They call that stalking, and technically, it is a federal offense. It’s also just plain creepy.
DON’T wear your game-day jersey every day of the week. Not only will people wonder if you are homeless and only have one shirt, you will ruin it before September.
DON’T get a tattoo to remind you of your beloved team. As cool as it is today, you might not like 20 years from now.
DO read articles on Bleacher Report. It makes us look good and satisfies your college football cravings. Everybody wins.
DO go outside, preferably to the beach, and toss the pigskin around. Summer doesn’t last forever. You shouldn’t always be watching the action. You should be participating in it.
DO watch this video. If it doesn’t give you chills up your spine, then you might not have one. If you don’t go out and want to do something completely epic with your life, there is something wrong with you.
And now, you only have 116 days until the first college football game on August 30 and 118 days until USC faces Hawaii in Los Angeles.
