Xavier Nady: New York Yankees Rumors Update
Here is an update from an earlier post.
The Atlanta Braves are interested in adding either the Yankees’ Xavier Nady or Nick Swisher, but it seems that they would prefer Bobby Abreu over the pair right now.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
"“We think they’d like to make it one of these guys, maybe in this order of preference 1. Bobby Abreu (we’ll explain), 2. Xavier Nady or Nick Swisher (both Yankees, one or the other expected to be traded), and 4. (there can’t be a No. 3 if two guys are tied for No. 2) Adam Dunn, whose asking price (reportedly $14 mill per year) is still way, waaay above what the Braves have to spent.”
"
Now this doesn’t necessarily mean their order of preference, but I’d like to believe the journalist has a bit of insider information. The article went on to say that whomever the Braves do add, it will have to fit in their plans of expanding the roster only $5 to $9 million.
A thought on the Braves situation—it’s being reported that Atlanta isn’t interested in bringing center fielder Andruw Jones back to the team. That means they will get more serious about making a deal for another outfielder, and could get more serious with the Yankees.
It also means that Jones might be interested in talking to the Yankees to fill their center field vacancy. Look for these rumors to start popping up. Unless of course, the Yankees are so sure they want Melky Cabrera in center field, that they won’t take a chance on a gold-glover at league minimum.
