WWE News: Wade Barrett Starring in New Film Project

George NolanJun 7, 2018

Despite being out on injury leave since February for a partially dislocated elbow, it looks like Wade Barrett will be busy making his film debut in one of WWE Studios' current film projects.

According to ProWrestling.net and 411mania.com, Barrett will be cast in a supporting role for an upcoming crime action film called Dead Man Down.

The film was one of many films hyped by WWE Studios president Michael Luisi during a WWE shareholders meeting held last week as the result of a joint venture that WWE Studios made with the Los Angeles film company called I.M. Global.

Dead Man Down will feature Colin Ferrell, Noomi Rapace and Terrance Howard, with the film expected to be released sometime next year.

There were pictures taken of Barrett during filming of scenes for the movie in Philadelphia earlier this week (shown in the picture for this article) where he was with Terrance Howard.

Coverage on the film was also shown by the local reporters of an ABC Philadelphia news affiliate, as shown in this video. They explained that sections of Philadelphia streets were being closed off for filming of Dead Man Down and that they would be used for the movie's setting of New York City.

How do you folks feel about Wade Barrett making his film debut?
