Brock Lesnar's Top 10 Potential Opponents at WWE WrestleMania 29
Brock Lesnar is still in the early part of a one year deal with WWE, but that does not mean we can't start predicting who he will face at WrestleMania 29.
With Lesnar being a huge addition to WWE's roster over the next year it would make sense to have him feud with and put over as many people as possible to have the best effect, but the match at WrestleMania 29 needs to be big.
It will likely be his last match in WWE, at least for this run. His contract runs through WrestleMania and WWE is not going to just let him be in any regular match.
Whatever match he is in, it will be built up over the course of a couple of months, much like how the Undertaker vs Triple H match was this past year.
Here are the 10 people who would make the best opponents for a big-money match at WrestleMania 29. These are in no particular order.
Undertaker
1 of 11Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker have history that could easily be used to ignite a new feud between the two.
The Hell's Gate against Brock's version of the Kimura would be interesting to see, especially since Undertaker has adopted a more MMA inspired style in recent years.
Undertaker had a confrontation with Lesnar at a UFC event a while back which made a lot of people think that Lesnar would be fighting Undertaker at WrestleMania that year, but plans did not work out.
This could be the chance WWE has been waiting for. Lesnar is obviously willing to lose to people seeing as Cena went over him at Extreme Rules, so it is fair to assume that he would be willing to take a loss to Undertaker at WrestleMania.
The Rock
2 of 11The Rock is another former WWE superstar who made big money for one year of work with the WWE. The difference between Rock and Brock is that Rocky only had to wrestle two matches and make a handful of appearances.
With both men being under fire from some other wrestlers for "hogging the spotlight", it might be the best thing to just pair them up so WrestleMania does not feature two different matches if Rocky does decide to take part in WrestleMania 29.
It is not decided yet as to whether or not The Rock will be wrestling at WM29, but if he does, I think the smart thing to do would be to avoid two separate matches featuring stars who have contracts expiring the next day.
Randy Orton
3 of 11Orton was in the WWE the first time Lesnar wrestled for the company, and since then, Orton has risen to become one of WWE's biggest stars.
Even though he has been out of the title picture for quite some time, it should not be looked at as some kind of punishment.
Orton has become a person who does not need the World Title to be considered one of the top guys, much like John Cena.
A match between Lesnar and Orton would be awesome. Both men are very capable wrestlers who perform very well in big match situations.
This is one of the more interesting possibilities to me because Orton is so vastly different from Lesnar in every way.
Bobby Lashley
4 of 11Bobby Lashley left the WWE in the middle of the push every wrestler dreams of getting and tried to follow in Lesnar's footsteps in the MMA world.
While he has found some success, he is not on the same level that Lesnar was in terms of fame. Both of these guys are champion amateur wrestlers with MMA experience. How could this not be a draw?
Lashley is someone who did not do enough to command the same kind of attention Lesnar has, but WWE could easily build the match-up over the course of a few months into a much bigger showdown than when Ken Shamrock fought Dan Severn in WWE.
CM Punk
5 of 11Punk's MMA style would clash with Brock's real MMA experience in a way that could create an interesting feud.
Punk is sort of like the anit-Brock in a way. They share almost nothing in common except for the fact that they both have tattoos, although Punk's ink outweighs Lesnar's by a wide margin.
Punk is WWE Champion right now and he is doing a great job in the role. If he proves that he is a major player over the next year then we may see him paired with Lesnar in a high profile feud leading into WrestleMania.
John Cena
6 of 11Even though John Cena faced Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, it is not out of the question to think they could face off again in the future.
Cena getting the win at Extreme Rules is the only fuel they need to power this feud. They could portray Lesnar as a man bent on getting revenge against the man who beat him in his first match back.
If Lesnar decides to leave the WWE after his deal expires, then I could see Cena being the man to send him packing after what they have already started.
Big Show
7 of 11Anyone who watched wrestling when Lesnar was first in WWE has to remember the feud these two had. It was easily the feud which showed everyone that Lesnar was one of the few people on the planet who could destroy Big Show.
When the ring all but exploded after a superplex off the top rope, it created one of those moments that WWE will always use for highlight reels.
Sheamus
8 of 11Sheamus is a powerhouse who came into WWE and won the top title in the company within a few months. That sounds like another monster I have heard of, but who could it be?
Oh yeah, it's Brock Lesnar.
These two superstars have different styles and looks but both men were able to rise to the top faster than almost anyone else in WWE history.
A match between these two powerhouses would be better than most matches between two big guys because both men have demonstrated great talent in the ring.
I think this is one of the more likely scenarios on the list since Sheamus is trying to be built up as one of the WWE's top baby-faces.
Ultimate Warrior
9 of 11Just kidding, but seriously, could you imagine it?
Lesnar would destroy Warrior, no question.
Daniel Bryan
10 of 11David vs Goliath has been done before, but when was the last time that David was viewed as one of the best in the world?
Daniel Bryan is one of the smaller guys on the roster but you wouldn't know it since he never seems to back down from any of the guys who outweigh him by several stone.
Bryan vs Lesnar would sell because they are both extremely different athletes who are considered two of the most legitimate wrestling talents in the company.
Lesnar has his amateur experience and Bryan has traveled the world perfecting his craft. How could this not be a good match?
Steve Austin
11 of 11Austin is ready to get back in the ring and the person who he could end up facing is someone he never had the chance to have a big money match with.
Brock Lesnar is no doubt going to have a big ticket match at WrestleMania 29 as long as he stays uninjured. Steve Austin is one of the best possible opponents he could face at this point.
The two had plenty of interactions the last time Brock was in WWE but they never had the big showdown like Brock had with The Rock and Undertaker, and fans want it to happen.
This is one of those rare dream matches we actually might end up seeing.
