WWE Extreme Rules 2012: Jericho's Comeback a Huge Failure After Loss to CM Punk
The WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view was one of the better events in years, but it may have ended a legend's career.
Chris Jericho had to beat CM Punk, and he couldn’t do it. Everything was set up for him, instead Jericho is now 0-4 in PPV events and his future with the company is one giant question mark.
After failing to beat Punk at WrestleMania XXVIII, I was sure the creative team would script a Jericho win and eventual rematch at SummerSlam.

It’s a time issue with Jericho.
With the demands of being in a band calling him, Jericho is only under contract with WWE until some point in the summer.
So what sort of angle can be taken with Jericho at this point?
Time is beginning to run out.

Is Sheamus now a big enough star to start a feud with Jericho?
There are a ton of question marks surrounding the immediate future of Jericho and I’m beginning to wonder if this comeback was a good idea.
Time is running out and the options are limited.
Monday Night Raw is going to be awfully interesting for one of the legends of the WWE.
