WWE Extreme Rules 2012: Kane vs. Randy Orton Should Continue at over the Limit

Brandon GalvinJun 4, 2018

Very few fans gave Kane and Randy Orton a chance when they started their feud heading into WrestleMania 28, but they put on a solid show and their feud has truly taken off since then.

WWE did a great job giving these two a Falls Count Anywhere match at Extreme Rules considering that the stipulation actually plays off what has happened in this rivalry.

Orton and Kane have often battled in the backstage area, including Kane attacking Randy and his father Bob Orton on SmackDown. This past Monday on RAW, Orton tied up Paul Bearer in a wheel chair and attempted to freeze his body. This rivalry has been taken to new heights in recent weeks and has been far more than just the throwaway feud many predicted two months ago.

These two men have already put on several high-quality matches over the past year and will once again provide an awesome mid-card match at Extreme Rules. Expect these two veterans to be given the freedom to do plenty of entertaining, hardcore-based spots that will get the fans excited as they battle all around the arena.

Still, it doesn't feel like the payoff for this feud is there just yet.

No, this feud is just getting good and needs to continue at Over the Limit in another gimmick match—perhaps a Steel Cage as WWE tells us that these two men are so destructive that they shouldn't be allotted territorial freedom and need to be contained.

With other superstars already locked up in high-profile feuds, Randy Orton and Kane would both benefit greatly by continuing their rivalry and making it something the fans will remember for the rest of 2012.
