2012 NFL Draft: Alabama Crimson Tide Could Have a Busy First Round

Jeff GrantJun 2, 2018

The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off a national championship season and there's no doubt that the fanbase will be watching the 2012 NFL draft on Thursday night.

BetOnline sports book has established a total of 4.5 for the amount of Crimson Tide players that get selected in the first 25 picks of the opening round.

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller currently has four Alabama players falling within that window in his final mock draft, which lines up with the under as the favored option (-130) in the betting market.

Star running back Trent Richardson is expected to get the action started, with Mark Barron, Courtney Upshaw and Dre Kirkpatrick following closely behind.

Oddsmakers will likely receive split action in this proposition offering, especially with Miller projecting linebacker Dont'a Hightower as the 27th pick by the New England Patriots.

Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban will likely be watching the events with a grin on his face, as the night will likely turn into a powerful recruiting tool in the months ahead.

His program is currently the second choice at betting odds of +450 to repeat as BCS national champions, sitting just behind Southeaster Conference rival LSU (+300).

I'm going to lay some juice and pick "under" 4.5 players selected in the first 25 selections of the first round for the Crimson Tide.
