WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Predictions: Daniel Bryan Set to Steal Show

Eric BallJun 7, 2018

The WWE is pumping out yet another PPV event less than a month after WrestleMania, which is the perfect time to let the super-duper-stars take a bit of a backseat to the superstars.

That means the World Heavyweight Championship match is going to steal the show.

Both Daniel Bryan and Sheamus are just below the tier of superstar at which John Cena, CM Punk and Chris Jericho reside, which means the creative team needs to beef up one of their legacies.

After a Sheamus Brogue Kick ended their big WrestleMania match in a mere 18 seconds, it’s Bryan’s turn.

In a two-out-of-three pinfall match, it’s going to last much longer than 18 seconds Sunday night. It allows Bryan to get back to what he does best: wrestling.

Few, if any WWE stars have the wrestling talents of Bryan, and he needs to remind his deteriorating fanbase. He has great technique with the strength and experience to make even the biggest man cower in submission. Bryan launches his body around like a weapon at times, and that can work to his advantage as long as he avoids the kicks of Sheamus.

With the obvious distractions of AJ Lee bound to surface, I think this time around she is able to help Bryan and regain his affection. A win and Bryan is now the champ once again, ready to take on another opponent like Lord Tensai, with his girl back on his side.

With the John Cena-Brock Lesnar feud still in its infancy, don’t expect anything groundbreaking next week in Chicago.

CM Punk-Chris Jericho is going to be incredibly predictable. Jericho only has until the end of the summer on his current contract, meaning he has enough time to win on Sunday, setting up the ultimate grudge match at SummerSlam.

The only feud that really feels like it’s peaking this Sunday in Chicago is Bryan-Sheamus.

Bryan has proven to be the better wrestler in the past and will exact his revenge in grand fashion.

YES!!!!
