WWE Extreme Rules 2012: Will Brock Lesnar Deliver in His 1st Match Back?
With Brock Lesnar's first match since returning to WWE only a week away, people are beginning to speculate how well he will perform at Extreme Rules.
Luckily for Lesnar, he is not going to have to look great technically because this will not be a technical match. The match is set as an Extreme Rules match.
In a match where anything goes, we can usually expect to see minimal mat wrestling and maximum chair shots and fisticuffs.

The pressure is firmly on Lesnar to follow up the match John Cena had with The Rock at WrestleMania this year after less than a month's time has passed. This is not the best position to be in.
The Rock's return to WrestleMania was touted for a year, this match had less than one full month of build-up, meaning the story behind it will not be as strong as it was with Rocky.
That being said, I believe Lesnar will return and he will be ready to go full throttle with Cena.
Brock Lesnar may have been out of the WWE ring for quite some time, but that does not mean he will be any less talented than he was when he was first employed by WWE.
His life has been filled with sports, whether it was amateur wrestling, pro wrestling, football or MMA and Lesnar has proven time and time again that he takes these things seriously.
You do not go from being one of the most talked-about wrestlers in WWE to being one of the most talked-about UFC fighters without putting in a lot of effort and work.
Being in fighting shape is not a concern for Lesnar as he has been in fighting shape since he was 18, but being prepared to wrestle again may be the biggest challenge facing Lesnar right now.
Having been trained for the last few years not to pull his punches may have made it harder for him to transition back to throwing open-fisted strikes and pulling back on the power.
We all saw how Cena was bloodied up. But that could have been due to a number of factors, including the fact that Lesnar could not see where Cena's head was when he fell and just took a shot which happened to land really hard.
If you watch the video slowly, you will see that not only does Lesnar make contact with Cena before he can even see him after they went down, but you can also see that Lesnar became a lot more careful after that initial strike.
I do not believe, like some people do, that Lesnar hit him that hard on purpose. These things happen by accident all the time in WWE. It should almost be expected that it would be more common with someone who has not wrestled in a long time, but WWE is smart to play up the blood angle.
When it comes down to it, there is probably going to be a little ring rust which will need to be shook off, but Lesnar is the definition of someone who is dedicated to being the best, and he would not risk having a bad match and ruining his reputation.
In short, Brock Lesnar will not only be ready by Extreme Rules, but he and Cena may also steal the show if Jericho and Punk do not have the match of the night.
What do you think? Will Brock be up to task at Extreme Rules?
