Manchester United Reportedly Weighing Bid for Valencia Left-Back Jordi Alba
Goal.com UK is reporting Manchester United are considering a summer bid for Valencia and Spain left-back Jordi Alba.
The report indicates that the Red Devils believe a deal could be made with an offer approaching the $24 million (U.S.) mark.
The 23-year-old broke into Valencia's first-team shortly after joining the club in 2009. He's made 68 appearances for Los Che over the past three seasons.

After representing Spain at several youth levels, Alba earned his first cap for the full Spanish national team during a Euro 2012 qualifying match against Scotland in October 2011. He picked up an assist in the 3-1 win to make a strong start to his international career.
Alba has featured for his country two more times since and appears to be on track for a place in the squad for this summer's Euros.
Manchester United are searching for a successor to aging left-back Patrice Evra. In Alba, they would acquire a player who could push the 30-year-old defender for playing time immediately and eventually take over the position for the long-term.
After announcing recently that Fabio da Silva would be sent out on loan next season, the stage is set for Sir Alex Ferguson to reach into the transfer market in an effort to try and fill the gap.
United could face competition for the Spanish player's signature as his agent says Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona are also interested.
