Eli Manning SNL: Super Bowl MVP Won't Disappoint in May 5 Debut

There's just something about Eli Manning. There's something that just makes Eli appealing. It's tough to put your finger on it, but he's just an easy guy to like.

Maybe you can label him goofy—I see it in him—but there is just something there that makes Eli Manning the perfect candidate for hosting Saturday Night Live.

I'm not expecting an unbelievable performance on May 5, but I'm not expecting to be disappointed, either.

Manning has something about him that even his biggest haters must appreciate. He's confident, but nowhere near cocky. He is extremely humble about his talents, and he never shows up the opponent. He seems to be intelligent and is extremely comfortable on center stage.

Manning will have a successful night hosting because he's used to the pressure of New York City. He lives it every day and, unlike most star athletes, he continues to win championships for his city. 

If we have learned anything from Eli Manning, it's that he's extremely clutch. He proved it twice against the New England Patriots in both of the Giants' Super Bowl winning seasons.

He knows what it takes to step on the big stage and put on magnificent performances.

When things tighten up, Manning loosens up and delivers time and time again.

Expect Manning to do it again in his Saturday Night Live debut.
